Jiawen Tang

Jiawen Tang is the President and Co-Founder of Hive Health, a digital health insurance provider based in Manila, Philippines. Previously, she worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and held positions at the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. Tang developed the concept for her company while completing dual master's degrees at Harvard Business School and the Harvard Kennedy School, following her undergraduate studies at Stanford University. Under her leadership, the Y Combinator-backed platform serves small and medium-sized enterprises by connecting users with a network of over 20,000 healthcare providers. In late 2023, she directed the strategic acquisition of Health Plan Philippines, Inc. to secure a full operating license and expand operational capabilities. Her current focus centers on scaling accessible insurtech and telemedicine solutions for small businesses across Southeast Asian emerging markets.
