Jimmy Zelinskie is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Authzed, an identity and access management startup based in New York City, New York. He co-founded the Y Combinator-backed company in 2020 and helped secure its $12 million Series A funding round in June 2022 to commercialize SpiceDB, an open-source authorization system based on Google's Zanzibar paper. Prior to Authzed, Zelinskie served as a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat following its acquisition of his previous employer, CoreOS. During his tenure at CoreOS, he pioneered cloud-native infrastructure by developing foundational open-source projects, including the Quay container registry and the Clair vulnerability scanner.
