Jimmy Zelinskie

Jimmy Zelinskie is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Authzed, an identity and access management startup based in New York City, New York. He co-founded the Y Combinator-backed company in 2020 and helped secure its $12 million Series A funding round in June 2022 to commercialize SpiceDB, an open-source authorization system based on Google's Zanzibar paper. Prior to Authzed, Zelinskie served as a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat following its acquisition of his previous employer, CoreOS. During his tenure at CoreOS, he pioneered cloud-native infrastructure by developing foundational open-source projects, including the Quay container registry and the Clair vulnerability scanner. He also contributes to industry standards through the Open Container Initiative to democratize access to hyperscaler technology. His current focus remains on advancing open-source cybersecurity solutions and building scalable authorization infrastructure for enterprise adoption.
