Joachim Fainberg

Joachim Fainberg is the Co-founder of The Forecasting Company and a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Vind AI, a software platform for designing offshore wind parks. Previously, he served as a Vice President and Machine Learning Scientist at the JPMorgan Chase Machine Learning Center of Excellence in New York, and worked as the AI Tech Lead at Consigli. Fainberg also completed technical internships at Sonos, developing an on-device wake word detector, and at Bloomberg, building a large-scale automatic speech recognition system. He holds a doctorate in machine learning for speech from the University of Edinburgh, studying under Steve Renals and Peter Bell, alongside a bachelor's degree from the University of Surrey. His professional background centers on applying advanced artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and full-stack software development to solve complex forecasting and climate technology challenges.
