John Oke

John Oke is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spring in Africa, the parent company of Wallets Africa, and is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria. Before launching his own fintech ventures, he spent nine years working as a software developer, which included serving as an Engineer at Wema Bank to build their digital banking infrastructure. Oke also worked as a technical consultant for Interswitch and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin in 2014. He successfully led his digital payments startup through the Y Combinator accelerator program in 2019 and later participated in the Andreessen Horowitz Crypto Startup School in 2020. His current focus centers on developing enterprise software, virtual card infrastructure, and cryptocurrency strategies to advance financial inclusion and accessibility across emerging African markets.
