Jonathan Baer

Jonathan Baer is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Overlap, an AI-driven collaboration and networking platform based in San Francisco, California. Before launching his current venture, he worked as a software engineer at Google and served as a product manager at Spotify, where he developed consumer technology and audio products. Baer earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and has since successfully scaled Overlap to a global base of more than 50,000 users. Under his leadership, the company secured an initial $4 million seed investment from Y Combinator and announced a $12 million Series A funding round in January 2026 backed by Sequoia Capital. Following a 2025 speaking engagement at TechCrunch Disrupt, his current focus centers on expanding artificial intelligence matching features within professional networking and consumer technology ecosystems.
