Jonathan Irwin

Jonathan Irwin is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Cerebrium, a serverless AI infrastructure platform based in New York. He established the startup in 2021, guiding it through Y Combinator and securing an $8.5 million seed round led by Gradient Ventures. Under his technical leadership, the four-person company scaled to generate $1 million in revenue by powering compute operations for multimodal AI applications. Prior to Cerebrium, Irwin accumulated over eight years of software engineering experience, holding positions as a Senior Software Engineer at OneCart and Lead Software Engineer at SovTech. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an Honours degree in Financial Analysis from the University of Cape Town, alongside studies at Tilburg University. His career bridges financial analytics and software development with a current focus on building scalable machine learning infrastructure.
