Jose Ignacio Galindo is the co-founder and CEO of Waterplan, a climate-tech platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Under his leadership, the Y Combinator alumni company secured an $11 million Series A funding round in May 2023 to expand its enterprise water risk management software. Prior to launching Waterplan, Galindo co-founded the ad-tech platform Herolens, which was successfully acquired by the publicly traded software company Innovid in September 2019. He subsequently served as the Chief Strategy Officer at the South American software development firm Wolox, leading up to its strategic acquisition by Accenture in January 2021. Originally from Ushuaia, Argentina, the second-time founder and software engineer leverages his extensive background in building and scaling B2B enterprise SaaS companies to focus his current efforts entirely on corporate sustainability and global water security.
