Joseph Cohen

Joseph Cohen is the Founder and CEO of Universe and the Founder of Infinite Machine, based in Brooklyn, New York. He previously studied computer science at the University of Pennsylvania before dropping out to establish CourseKit, an educational social learning network that was acquired by Noodle in 2013. Cohen later founded Standard Cognition, an artificial intelligence computer vision startup for the retail sector that reached unicorn status after raising $91 million. At Universe, a mobile website builder backed by Google Ventures, he secured over $40 million in funding to power more than one million websites. The entrepreneur concurrently leads Infinite Machine, which recently launched its inaugural P1 electric scooter and integrated new decentralized technologies following a $4 million seed round. Cohen maintains a dual focus on consumer-facing mobile software creation tools and emerging physical hardware and infrastructure.
