Joseph Kitonga

Joseph Kitonga is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vitable Health, a healthcare technology startup based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After immigrating from Kenya to the United States at age 13, he initially attended Penn State University before dropping out in 2020 to accept a $100,000 grant from the Thiel Fellowship. Kitonga subsequently participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2020 accelerator program to build out his platform, which was inspired by the healthcare struggles of hourly workers employed by his parents. Under his executive leadership, Vitable Health successfully secured a $16 million Series A funding round in July 2022 to expand its coverage model across multiple regional markets. His current professional focus centers on delivering affordable employee benefits to small and medium-sized businesses through Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements and direct primary care services.
