Josh Wymer

Josh Wymer is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Central, a Y Combinator-backed, AI-native payroll and compliance platform based in the Washington DC and Baltimore area. Under his leadership, the startup successfully raised $8.6 million in venture funding before being acquired by Mercury in April 2026. Previously, Wymer served as the twelfth employee at Mixpanel, where he directed product engineering across mobile and full-stack environments to help scale the analytics enterprise to a valuation exceeding $1 billion. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software engineer at Meta and earned his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, where he also competed in collegiate baseball. Over his twelve-year career, his technical focus has consistently centered on developing analytics infrastructure, widely adopted open-source developer tools, and automated compliance operations for early-stage technology companies.
