Juan Alzugaray

Juan Alzugaray is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Flai, an artificial intelligence startup based in the Silicon Valley area. Founded in 2025 and participating in the Y Combinator Summer 2025 batch, the 15-employee company develops AI voice assistants designed to automate calls, scheduling, and marketing campaigns for automotive dealerships. Under his operational leadership, Flai recently secured a $4.5 million seed funding round led by First Round Capital, with additional participation from Liquid 2 Ventures and Innovation Endeavors. Before launching his own venture, Alzugaray built his technical foundation working as a Data Scientist at Netflix, focusing on advanced data analytics. He previously completed his formal education by earning a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. His current focus centers on scaling enterprise operations and deploying specialized machine learning solutions within the automotive retail sector.
