Junaid Babatunde

Junaid Babatunde is a software engineer and key technical leader at Autochek based in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to his current position, he served as the Lead Engineer at Cars45, where he developed foundational automotive technology infrastructure for the regional e-commerce market. His engineering leadership at the mobility platform directly supported the company's successful acquisition by Jiji in 2020. Following this exit, he helped launch Autochek in 2020 and built the core technical architecture that scaled the enterprise into the largest auto financing platform across the African continent. Earlier in his entrepreneurial career, he founded Ticketmax, establishing the first online consumer ticketing platform in the Nigerian market to process early digital transactions. Babatunde currently focuses on advancing scalable software engineering, e-commerce infrastructure, and consumer fintech solutions within the broader West African automotive and mobility technology sectors.
