Kamal Obbad

Kamal Obbad is a technology entrepreneur and the former Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Nebula Genomics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, where he participated in the Program in Biophysics, before studying computer science at the University of Cambridge as a Gates-Cambridge Scholar. Prior to dropping out of his graduate program to enter the biotechnology sector as a founder, Obbad began his early professional career working at Google. At Nebula Genomics, he successfully led the genetic testing startup to reach mid-seven figures in profit within a two-year period. The consumer healthtech business ultimately achieved a highly successful exit when it was acquired by a larger corporate entity in 2021.
