Karen Levy is a social entrepreneur, social scientist, and international development professional currently based in Kenya, focused on evidence-based poverty alleviation programs. She brings over 20 years of on-the-ground experience living in Kenya and working across Africa and Asia to design, implement, and scale cost-effective public policy initiatives. Throughout her extensive career, Levy has collaborated with prominent institutions such as Evidence Action, Innovations for Poverty Action, and Deworm the World, successfully scaling development programs that have cost-effectively benefited millions of vulnerable individuals. Her technical expertise spans the entire lifecycle of evidence-based programming, encompassing rigorous research methodology, comprehensive program evaluation, and complex project management. Fluent in Swahili, Levy currently focuses on leveraging applied social science research to design, build, assess, and expand sustainable international development solutions across the emerging markets in both Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
