Khanjan Desai

Khanjan Desai is the CEO and Founder of Alchemy, an advanced materials and manufacturing company based in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2013, providing the technical foundation for his early entrepreneurial ventures. Prior to launching his current venture, Desai conducted specialized scientific research focusing on cryopreservation and microfluidics at Harvard Medical School. He also gained corporate technology experience by working in growth analytics and internet marketing at Facebook, where he analyzed user data to drive platform expansion. His later work in commercializing novel manufacturing technologies earned him recognition on the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for the Manufacturing and Industry category. Desai currently focuses on bridging academic research and industrial applications by developing innovative nanomaterial solutions for the biotechnology and advanced manufacturing sectors.
