Kyle Yugawa

Kyle Yugawa is the Co-founder and Design Leader at The Breakaway, a Y Combinator-backed fitness and cycling application from the accelerator's Summer 2021 batch. Prior to establishing his current startup, he built his foundational expertise in product design through various roles at prominent consumer technology companies, including the athletic tracking network Strava, the photography platform VSCO, and the home fitness company Tempo. In these previous positions, he focused on developing digital interfaces and user experiences specifically tailored to the health, creative, and athletic tracking sectors. At The Breakaway, Yugawa currently directs the visual and functional development of a software platform designed to help users track their cycling metrics and improve their overall physical performance. His professional background centers on leveraging product design principles to build consumer-facing applications within the digital health and connected fitness technology markets.
