Lauren (Luna) Ray Vegter

Lauren (Luna) Ray Vegter is the Founder and Chair of the social application Plura and a startup coach based in Oakland, California. She established Plura in 2020 as part of the Y Combinator W20 batch, successfully raising $5 million in funding to build a platform focused on in-person events and community engagement. Previously, Vegter spent five years at Facebook, where she launched virtual reality initiatives and led user acquisition for Instagram, driving platform growth from 700 million to over 1.1 billion users within two years. Her professional background also includes serving as a Product Lead at Faire and earning dual degrees in business and engineering from MIT. Vegter currently focuses on coaching early-stage founders by combining her extensive consumer technology scaling experience with specialized training in Hakomi Somatics and Internal Family Systems.
