Leah Culver is an independent software engineer and angel investor based in San Francisco, California. She previously served as a Senior Software Engineer at Twitter from 2021 to 2023, where she developed specific iOS features for Twitter Spaces, including muting and cohosting capabilities. She joined the social media corporation after it acquired the engineering team from her podcasting startup, Breaker, in January 2021. Before her tenure as Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Breaker, she worked as a Developer Advocate at Dropbox between 2013 and 2016. As a three-time technology founder, she also launched Pownce and the Y Combinator startups Convore and Grove.io, while notably co-authoring the widely used OAuth and oEmbed API specifications. Culver currently focuses on early-stage startup investments and independent software engineering, specializing in developer tools, social media applications, and backend systems.
