Luna Schmid

Luna Schmid is a Partner at GV (Google Ventures) based in London, United Kingdom, where she leads early-stage and growth-stage technology investments. Since joining the firm in February 2023, she has focused on expanding the European portfolio, building upon GV's deployment of $500 million across 40 regional startups since 2014. Prior to GV, Schmid served on the investment teams at Summit Partners and the SoftBank Vision Fund, evaluating both early and late-stage technology enterprises. Her earlier financial career includes working in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. She holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and international business, with minors in computer science and mathematics, from the NYU Stern School of Business. Schmid currently focuses her core investment strategy on seed and growth equity opportunities across the enterprise software, artificial intelligence, consumer, and fintech sectors.
