Lydia Jett is an Americas-based venture capitalist and Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers, where she leads the United States consumer internet and global ecommerce sectors. Over a career spanning nearly twenty years, she previously held investment banking and growth equity positions at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Securities, and M/C Partners. Jett joined SoftBank in 2015 and made history in November 2021 by becoming the first woman promoted to managing partner at the firm. During her tenure, she directed the top-returning portfolio for Vision Fund I, executing investments in technology enterprises such as ByteDance, Coupang, and GoTo. Additionally, she provides corporate governance expertise as an independent board member for consumer brands including Flipkart, Fanatics, and Vimeo.
