Maia Benson

Maia Benson is a Partner and Managing Director at Forum Ventures, where she invests in early-stage B2B SaaS companies from inception to scale. Prior to her venture capital career, she accumulated over 20 years of experience as an enterprise software executive, holding senior product and leadership positions at LexisNexis, Pitney Bowes, and Shopify. During her five years at Shopify, Benson helped launch and scale the company's shipping and fulfillment products, ultimately achieving over 60% merchant adoption and managing billions of dollars in transportation spend. She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. Today, Benson leverages her extensive product development background to advise and fund next-generation ecommerce, logistics, and enterprise software founders as both an active angel and institutional investor.
