Maina Bhaman

Maina Bhaman is a Partner at Sofinnova Partners in Paris, France, where she leads investments in European life sciences companies. Before joining the firm in 2018, she spent over a decade as the Director of Healthcare Investment at Touchstone Innovations in London, directing capital into early-stage UK biotechnology ventures. During her venture capital career spanning more than 15 years, Bhaman has led or co-led investments resulting in notable acquisitions, including the sales of Puridify to General Electric, Thiakis to Wyeth, and Respivert to Johnson & Johnson. She currently manages a portfolio of biopharmaceutical and medical device companies, holding board positions at Purespring Therapeutics, Sitryx Therapeutics, and Enyo Pharma. Holding a BS from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Imperial Business School, her focus remains on backing clinical-stage therapeutics and advanced healthcare technologies.
