Marcia Mitchell

Marcia Mitchell is the Managing Director at New York Ventures in New York City, where she manages Series Seed and Series A investments for New York state's $150 million direct equity fund. Previously, she served as a Senior Associate at ff Venture Capital, co-leading $8 million in invested capital across emerging startups including Translator, Parento, and Lynq. Before entering the venture capital industry, her professional background spanned financial services, marketing, and technology consulting with organizations such as IBM Watson. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tufts University and a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization and Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Her current focus remains on sourcing early-stage technology startups, leading due diligence, and providing post-investment support, with a dedicated emphasis on funding diverse entrepreneurs, particularly women of color, and scaling high-growth companies.
