Marcin Żukowski is a Polish computer scientist and entrepreneur who co-founded Snowflake, the cloud computing company that achieved the largest SaaS initial public offering in 2020. He helped lead the enterprise to a $3,400,000,000 public debut, reaching a market capitalization of $55,300,000,000. During its rapid growth, the database management firm attracted significant backing from recognizable institutional investors including Sequoia, Sutter Hill Ventures, and Salesforce. Before this success, he earned a PhD in high performance data processing at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica in the Netherlands, where he later received the Dijkstra Fellowship for his innovations. Following his academic research, he ran a university spinout developing foundational technology utilized by major tech giants.
