Marco Avila

Marco Avila is a General Partner at LabCap based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he oversees early-stage venture capital investments from seed to Series A. Before leading LabCap, he held prominent investment roles at Y Combinator Continuity and Kaszek Ventures, building upon an engineering degree earned from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He currently manages a portfolio of more than 20 companies, which yielded one notable acquisition exit in 2024, and recently led a $15 million Series A funding round for a gene-editing startup in March 2026.
