Marco Winzer

Marco Winzer is a Partner at High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), an early-stage venture capital firm based in Germany. Having been with HTGF since its initial founding, he played a foundational role in building the fund into one of the leading players in the regional venture capital ecosystem. Prior to his current partnership, Winzer developed his financial and advisory background through professional roles at the Business Innovation Center Kaiserslautern, a specialized technology investment company, and the state-owned development bank KfW. He holds a diploma in economics and utilizes this academic training to manage the complete venture capital value chain, actively guiding portfolio companies from their initial seed funding rounds through to successful market exits. Today, his primary investment focus centers on allocating early-stage venture capital to startups operating specifically within the life sciences and chemistry sectors.
