Marco Zappacosta

Marco Zappacosta is the co-founder and CEO of Thumbtack, an online marketplace connecting customers with local service professionals. Since launching the platform in 2008 as his first post-college job, he scaled the business to a $3.2 billion valuation in 2021, securing over $400 million from investors including Sequoia Capital and Jason Calacanis. Under his leadership, the company has facilitated more than 90 million completed projects across over 1,000 job categories, utilizing a network of 300,000 active professionals. The son of a Logitech co-founder, Zappacosta initially planned to become a research scientist in college before pivoting to entrepreneurship and earning recognition on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. His current focus centers on expanding Thumbtack's market share within the $700 billion home services sector while leveraging artificial intelligence to maintain a $500 million annual run rate.
