Marcus Adolfsson

Marcus Adolfsson is a General Partner at TampaBay.Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm based in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The University of Florida graduate previously operated as a serial technology entrepreneur, founding Smartphone Experts and Mobile Nations, a digital media publisher he sold to Future Plc for $115 million. Before establishing his current venture capital firm in 2021, he built an extensive angel investing portfolio that yielded multiple successful exits, including the acquisitions of Verigo by AgroFresh and Pinch by Chime. In July 2022, Adolfsson helped close the inaugural $20 million seed fund for his venture capital firm, targeting initial investments across approximately twenty regional technology startups while executing over eleven deals. His current investment focus centers on capitalizing early-stage, tech-enabled companies operating within the cybersecurity, insurtech, fintech, and software-as-a-service sectors throughout the Tampa Bay ecosystem.
