Maria Poveda

María Poveda is a Director at Inveready Life Sciences, where she specializes in venture capital investments within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. In this role, she is responsible for sourcing new deals, leading investment processes, and actively building the Inveready Biotech III portfolio. She provides ongoing strategic support to portfolio companies and currently serves as a board member for both Innerva Pharma and BiteRight. Before joining Inveready, Poveda worked as a strategic consultant advising life sciences entrepreneurs and gained investment experience at another specialized life sciences fund. She holds a degree in Biotechnology from UMH, alongside Master of Science degrees in Biomedicine from UCM and in the Management of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Companies. Her professional background remains entirely focused on bridging scientific innovation with institutional venture capital to scale early-stage life sciences enterprises.
