Maria Salamanca is a Partner at Ulu Ventures, based in Florida. Previously, Salamanca spent seven years as a Partner at Unshackled Ventures, where she evaluated more than 8,000 deals and invested in over 75 early-stage companies led by immigrant founders. Before entering venture capital, the UC Berkeley graduate worked at FWD.us, assisting in raising the immigration advocacy organization's initial $75 million. In addition to her venture investment career, she is a founding member and president of LatinxVC and serves as an elected public school board member in her local district. Her current focus centers on technology investments across artificial intelligence and manufacturing while expanding capital access for underrepresented and immigrant founders.
