Mariam Naficy

Mariam Naficy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Heretic Ventures, an early-stage venture studio focused on artificial intelligence, media, social networks, and commerce. She previously founded Eve.com, the world's first cosmetics e-commerce platform, which generated $10 million in first-year sales before being acquired for $110 million in 2000. Following a product management leadership role at Movielink, Naficy founded Minted, a community-driven e-commerce marketplace that she successfully scaled to several hundred million dollars in annual revenue. Through Heretic Ventures, she currently incubates and funds consumer internet startups, including Tonic, which secured a $5 million seed round in 2023, and Arcade, which raised $17 million from investors such as Reid Hoffman and Sound Ventures.
