Mariana Mihalusova

Mariana Mihalusova is the Vice President of Venture Healthcare at Venrock in Palo Alto, California, where she focuses on biotechnology and pharmaceutical investments. Before joining the firm in 2020, she worked as an Early Development Program Leader at Celgene and Bristol Myers Squibb, leading the global development of over a dozen drugs from nomination to clinical proof-of-concept. Her investment strategy targets novel therapeutic modalities across oncology, hematology, and immunology, with a special emphasis on protein degraders, epigenetic modifiers, bispecifics, and CAR-T therapies. She currently serves on the board of directors for Interdict, KymaThera, and K2, while also acting as a dedicated board observer for Bright Peak, MBrace, and Tisento. Her extensive academic background includes a PhD in Biochemistry from Harvard University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an ScB in Biochemistry from Brown University.
