Marin Cauvas

Marin Cauvas is a Principal and Head of Ventures at Anthemis Group, based in Lisbon, Portugal. Since joining the venture capital firm in 2018, he has focused on discovering, evaluating, and executing early-stage investments across the global financial services sector. He also serves as a limited partner in the Anthemis CB SPV Founder LP fund, an investment vehicle established ahead of April 2025. Prior to his current position, Cauvas worked as an Investment Associate at Innoventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Santander, and served on the Alternative Finance team at Liberum Capital. He began his financial career focusing on alternative investments and asset management strategies at BlackRock. His professional background centers on venture capital and asset management, with a specific focus on incubating startups and scaling alternative lending platforms within the broader fintech ecosystem.
