Mark Dempster

Mark Dempster is the Founder and Chief People Officer at Founders Circle Capital, a growth-stage venture firm established in 2012. In this capacity, he oversees The Circle, a private leadership community that connects over 600 chief executive officers and chief financial officers for peer-to-peer support. Prior to launching his current firm, Dempster served as a Marketing Partner at Sequoia Capital, where he participated directly at the partners table to guide portfolio investments. His earlier corporate career includes roles as the head of the brand strategy practice at CKS Partners and as a Brand Strategist at Landor Associates. Dempster utilizes a predictive model to identify top-performing venture-backed companies. With more than 31 years of marketing experience and 21 years in venture capital, his current focus centers on leadership development for founders scaling companies from initial product-market fit to hyperscale operations.
