Mark Poag

Mark Poag is the Co-Founder and General Partner of Fitz Gate Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. At this firm, he manages $70 million in assets under management across three funds, writing initial checks of $500,000 to $1 million for startups nationwide. Previously, he served as President and CEO of DigiContract before its acquisition by Datacert, where he subsequently became Senior Vice President and helped grow annual revenue from $1.1 million to over $60 million. His earlier career includes roles as a Financial Analyst at Morgan Stanley, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Consolidated Graphics, and academic positions lecturing at Princeton University and Rice University. Holding degrees from Princeton University and New York University, Poag currently focuses on generalist and deep technology investments while leveraging his extensive operational background to scale early-stage portfolio companies.
