Mark Weatherford is the Head of Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy at NVIDIA, where he leads engagement across public policy, government regulation, and secure technology adoption. Between 2011 and 2013, he served as the Deputy Under Secretary for Cybersecurity at the United States Department of Homeland Security during the Obama administration. A former United States Naval Officer who directed the Computer Network Defense of the Navy, he subsequently served as the inaugural Chief Information Security Officer for both the states of Colorado and California. His extensive private sector background includes prominent executive and advisory roles at Booking Holdings, The Chertoff Group, and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. Inducted into the Global Cyber Security Hall of Fame in 2023, he currently serves on the advisory boards of multiple technology startups, guiding them from their founding through successful acquisition.
