Martín Aspillaga is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Salkantay Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Lima, Peru. He co-founded the firm with Guillermo Miró Quesada in 2018, transitioning it from private equity to venture capital, and officially launched the Salkantay Exponential Fund in January 2020. The firm currently manages $26 million in AUM, joining the global Capria network and backing regional startups like the foodtech company Manzana Verde. Prior to his venture capital career, Aspillaga worked as a Peruvian bank regulator and held corporate advisory roles at McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company. He holds a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His current investment focus centers on pre-seed through Series A technology startups addressing social and economic challenges across Latin America.
