Martin Heidecker

Martin Heidecker is the Chief Investment Officer at the AMR Action Fund, based in the Boston area. Previously, he served as Managing Director USA for the Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, where he built investment portfolios focused on oncology, central nervous system disorders, and anti-infectives. During his tenure, he held board directorships at several successful biotechnology startups, including Tilos Therapeutics, which was acquired by Merck, and Armagen Technologies, which was acquired by JCR Pharmaceuticals. In his current role, he directs capital toward clinical-stage companies combating antimicrobial resistance, recently overseeing investments such as a $78 million Series B for Peptilogics and an $8.1 million Series A for Centauri Therapeutics. Heidecker combines his academic foundation, which includes a doctorate in biology from the University of Würzburg, with extensive venture capital experience to advance novel biopharmaceutical drug development.
