Martin Willemink

Martin Willemink is the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Segmed, Inc., a medical imaging data platform based in San Diego, California. Prior to launching the technology company, he served as a physician-scientist and led a cardiovascular imaging research team at the Stanford University Department of Radiology. Willemink guided Segmed through the Y Combinator accelerator program, helping the startup secure $10 million in total venture funding to streamline healthcare research. Under his scientific leadership, the platform reduces medical imaging data preparation timelines from eighteen months to fourteen days for enterprise customers, including Microsoft, Siemens, and Bayer. He holds a Doctor of Medicine and a doctorate in Medical Imaging, alongside advanced degrees in biomedical engineering and epidemiology.
