Marvin Liao

Marvin Liao is currently a Partner at Diaspora VC and serves as a Board Member and Partner at GameGroove Capital. Prior to his current venture roles, he spent ten and a half years at Yahoo! Inc., where he held various executive positions across sales, business development, and marketing while managing teams in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States. He subsequently served as a Partner at 500 Startups, directing the firm's San Francisco-based accelerator program and leading investments in early-stage technology companies. Throughout his venture capital career, Liao has invested in and advised more than 414 pre-seed and seed-stage startups, building a portfolio that includes prominent enterprises such as Aircall, Shippo, Manychat, and Embroker. His current investment focus spans multiple global sectors, primarily targeting enterprise software, digital media, financial technology, and digital health.
