Matej Luhovy

Matej Luhovy is a Partner and Head of Investments at Presto Tech Horizons, a specialized defense and resilience fund of Presto Ventures based in Prague, Czechia. He directs deal flow and research for the €150 million investment vehicle, which was launched in early 2024 in partnership with the industrial conglomerate Czechoslovak Group. During the fund's inaugural year, Luhovy oversaw the deployment of capital into four initial projects, which notably included backing two early-stage defense technology startups operating in Ukraine. Beyond direct capital allocation, he engages with the broader continental security ecosystem, participating in industry forums such as the Bpifrance Euroquity Defence Week and ECSO investor days. His current focus centers on financing dual-use hardware, advanced security systems, and critical infrastructure technologies to enhance the technological sovereignty of NATO member states and strategic allies.
