Mateo Bueno

Mateo Bueno is the Founder of Brandmates and a Limited Partner at the California Innovation Fund, based in San Francisco, California. He brings a 15-year track record in corporate marketing and brand building, having established the consultancy Brandmates in 2017 to provide brand strategy for early-stage ventures. In addition to his primary roles, Bueno has served as an early investor and advisor at Cover Technologies Inc. since 2018 and holds an advisory position with The Flex Company. Earlier in his professional career, he worked as a CERES and Sustainability Coordinator at First Environment after earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business from Rutgers University. Bueno, who also holds an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, currently focuses on brand growth and social impact investing within the technology and sustainability sectors.
