Mats Johansson

Mats Johansson is the Co-founder and Partner at Spintop Ventures and a Venture Partner at Mubadala Capital Ventures, based in Lund, Sweden. Before transitioning to venture capital, he served as the CEO of NASDAQ-listed Futuremedia PLC, where he grew the company's sales from $1 million to $40 million. His earlier career includes senior marketing roles at American Express across the United States and Europe, as well as founding partner positions at TeknoSeed and the GP Bullhound Sidecar Fund. Throughout his extensive investment career, Johansson has backed over 50 European technology companies, achieving 10 successful exits that include five IPOs and strategic acquisitions by major corporations such as Microsoft and eBay. As a veteran venture capitalist, he currently focuses his portfolio strategy on early-stage and growth-stage investments across the consumer internet, digital media, and financial technology sectors.
