Matt Donahue

Matt Donahue is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kodex, a compliance technology startup focused on streamlining how private enterprises respond to government data requests. Prior to establishing the company, he served as a Counterterrorism Intelligence Analyst for the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During his tenure at the federal intelligence agency, Donahue directly observed the significant compliance challenges faced by multi-billion dollar corporations when processing complex legal orders. Recognizing this critical infrastructure gap, he transitioned out of the public sector to build a dedicated platform that facilitates secure collaboration between corporate legal departments and government agencies. Through Kodex, he provides specialized tools that address the operational bottlenecks inherent in public-private sector data sharing. Donahue currently focuses on scaling this technology to modernize government-tech partnerships and improve how organizations manage regulatory compliance workflows.
