Matt Gialich

Matt Gialich is an engineering leader with over a decade of professional experience specializing in the development of avionics, flight software, and vehicle software systems. During his tenure at the aerospace manufacturer Virgin Orbit, he was responsible for building and scaling the avionics engineering groups from inception. Additionally, he led the organization's flight software and guidance, navigation, and control teams to support critical aerospace hardware initiatives. Gialich subsequently served as the Director of Vehicle Software at the micromobility company Bird. In this leadership capacity, he directed the software engineering efforts required for the successful development and deployment of the Bird 2 and Bird 3 electric scooters. His professional background is defined by a continuous focus on managing high-performing technical teams to deliver complex hardware and software integrations for the aerospace and advanced mobility sectors.
