Matt Hastings

Matt Hastings serves as a Venture Partner at Capital Factory, a prominent startup accelerator and venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. In this capacity, he evaluates early-stage technology investments and actively manages a portfolio of over 50 emerging companies across the enterprise software and defense technology sectors. Prior to his current position, Hastings held senior operational roles where he facilitated strategic partnerships between high-growth startups and major institutional clients, including the United States Department of Defense and Lockheed Martin. An alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, he previously spent four years directing corporate innovation initiatives, successfully deploying more than $15 million in capital to scale regional technology ecosystems. Hastings maintains a primary focus on bridging the gap between private sector innovation and public sector procurement, supporting founders through the complex federal contracting process.
