Matt Rightmire

Matt Rightmire is a Venture Partner at Building Ventures in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he focuses on seed and Series A investments in early-stage built environment software and marketplace companies. He began his career as a tech operator in Silicon Valley, notably joining Yahoo in 1995 during its pre-revenue phase and spending over a decade building internet businesses. Rightmire later served as Chief Operating Officer of Efficient Frontier, a digital marketing company that was acquired by Adobe in 2012. Transitioning to venture capital, he spent over a decade as a Managing Director at Borealis Ventures, overseeing investments that led to major acquisitions by Oracle, Procore, and WeWork. Complementing his professional experience, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
