Matthew Chen

Matthew Chen is a Co-founder of Moichor, a specialized animal diagnostics laboratory developing artificial intelligence-driven tools for veterinarians. He established the company alongside Shevy Karbasi and Thanh Le, whom he originally met while studying at Penn State University. The founding team initially explored the automation of human complete blood counts before pivoting their operational focus entirely to the specialized veterinary diagnostics sector. Through these early efforts, Moichor pioneered the first fully automated complete blood count for exotic animals in 2020, utilizing proprietary computer vision and machine learning technologies. The laboratory now provides diagnostic services, including cytology, to veterinary professionals across all regions of the United States, covering both small and exotic animal types. Chen currently focuses on integrating advanced artificial intelligence with medical expertise to scale automated diagnostic solutions for the broader veterinary healthcare industry.
