Matthew Goldstein

Matthew Goldstein is a General Partner at Systemiq Capital based in London, UK. Before joining the firm in 2023, he spent nearly seven years co-founding and building M12, Microsoft's venture capital arm, where he established its United States presence and subsequently led European operations starting in 2019. His earlier professional career includes serving as a Principal at Trinity Ventures and working at an automotive startup during the 2008 global financial crisis. Over his decade-long venture capital career, Goldstein has directed strategic investments into prominent technology companies, including guiding Markforged and Vertical Aerospace to public market exits via special purpose acquisition companies in 2021. At Systemiq Capital, which manages over $125 million and has backed twenty companies since 2018, his current focus centers on early-stage climate technology and deep tech investments across Europe and North America.
