Matthew Kaness

Matthew Kaness is the Managing Member of Longtech Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in New York City. In 2023, he launched a $50 million seed-stage fund to target investments across the fintech, SaaS, and artificial intelligence sectors, recently leading a funding round for AI startup PayForge in January 2026. Prior to his transition into venture capital, Kaness served as Chief Operating Officer at Collective[i] before its 2021 acquisition by Mastercard, Vice President of Product at Indiegogo, and Product Lead at Google. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BSME from The Catholic University of America, building a portfolio of over 50 startup investments through Longtech Ventures and various syndicates. His current focus centers on bridging product strategy, operational execution, and venture capital to scale early-stage technology companies.
